5 reasons Wrapped in Rhythm transforms the way you support women

After supporting hundreds of women, teaching over 1,400 practitioners, and continuing to evolve my work through years of practice, I’ve realised something important:

Healing doesn’t have to be complicated.

Wrapped in Rhythm combines intuitive rebozo wrapping with intuitive therapeutic drumming to create a deeply restorative ceremony for the nervous system. It’s simple to learn, very effective, and transformative, not only for the people you support, but for you as a practitioner too.

Here are five reasons practitioners choose this training:

1. You’ll learn a treatment you can use far beyond birth.
Students now offer Wrapped in Rhythm for menopause, divorce, burnout, loss, milestone birthdays, illness recovery, nervous system regulation, rites of passage, and so much more.

2. It develops your intuition.
Rather than teaching rigid techniques, this training helps you trust what you already know. As one student, Kristina Turner, shared: “It has made me so much more confident in trusting my intuition, and that makes me a much better companion to the women I support.”

3. It brings your work together.
Many practitioners tell me this training became the missing thread that connected all the different parts of their work into one coherent offering.

As Ruth puts it: “I felt like I had strands of my work all over the place and I wasn’t sure what to focus on. I started with birth, supporting couples to prepare, and have done that for 15 years, then I moved into supporting mothers, then realised I needed to go back to the start and work with young girls at menarche. The wrapping arrived at just the right time for me because it’s something I can use through all of these transitions, and it allows me to fully lean into my intuition with both the wrapping and the drum. Something magical happens every time I offer the treatment, and I’m just leaning into it all and not overthinking any of it anymore, which is such a relief for me.”

4. It’s grounded in both science and tradition.
My background as a biology research scientist allows me to explain why deep pressure, rhythm, and ceremony support nervous system regulation, while honouring the traditional wisdom these practices come from. As one student described it: “Sophie has a gift for making complex things accessible while keeping the sacred intact.

5. You’ll experience the work yourself.
Throughout the weekend you’ll both give and receive the ceremony, because the deepest learning comes from feeling what it is like to be completely held.

If you’re longing for work that is intuitive, embodied, and deeply nourishing, for both you and your clients, I would love to welcome you.
