Wrapped in Rhythm: A Ritual of Release and Return

There are times when talking is not enough. When what you are carrying lives in the body rather than the mind, and what you need is not more words but to be genuinely, physically held, and to have sound move through you while you rest.

Wrapped in Rhythm is a deeply nourishing one-to-one healing ritual that I have developed from over a decade of facilitation, weaving together two of the traditional healing practices: rebozo wrapping and intuitive drum healing. Together, they create something that is more than the sum of its parts.

Before the session

I ask you to fill in a pre-ritual form to get a sense of what you need.

What happens during the session

We begin by sitting together. This is not a clinical intake, it is a real conversation. You share what you are carrying, what feels stuck, what you are ready to release or move through. I support you in setting an intention for the ritual.

I then wrap you with 7 rebozos scarves, closing-the-bones style, from head to feet. The physical compression of being held this way signals deep safety to the nervous system: it is grounding, orienting, and deeply settling in a way that is difficult to describe until you have experienced it. Many women describe it as feeling like being gathered back to themselves.

While you are wrapped and resting, I drum for you. Not to a fixed rhythm or a prescribed technique, but intuitively, over your body, reading your body with the drum, responding in real time to what wants to move. The vibration of the drum travels through the body, loosening held energy, softening the places that have been braced, and inviting the nervous system into a state of safety, rest and release.

We close with an integration conversation over a warm drink, a quiet, supported space to begin making sense of what arose. Here I draw on my intuitive and energy healing abilities to express and support whatever needs to be witnessed, named, or simply acknowledged.

What this ritual is for

This session is for you if you are moving through a life transition: a loss, a change, a threshold moment, or simply the accumulated weight of holding too much for too long. It offers a deep nervous system reset, a shift in energy that words alone cannot reach, and a genuine sense of closure and return to self.

It is not a massage. It is not therapy. It is something that helps you reconnect with your body’s innate wisdom.

Sessions take place at my home in Cambridge on Tuesdays. Duration: approximately 90 minutes.
