Traditional patterned Mexican Rebozo (standard length)
Handmade traditional patterned Rebozo
These rebozos have a beautiful intricate rhomboid patterm.
These rebozos have been woven in a waist loom by artisans of a town called San Andres Tzicuilan, near Puebla, in Mexico
The supplier of these rebozos, Lupita, started selling them with her daughter Yasmin in order to share the deep love she feels for her country and wanting to show through the richness of the Mexican culture and worldview of the ethnic groups that inhabit every corner of the country.
The fabric is sturdy enough for it to be used as a baby carrier as well as using it for rebozo techniques during pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. It also makes a beautiful scarf or shawl
They are made of 100% cotton, and is 195 cm long (plus a 15 cm fringe at each end) by 60 cm wide
Washing instructions: Please wash before use to tighten the weave. Wash separately as it may release colour. I also find it best to wash by hand or on a handwash cycle the washing machine to avoid tangling the fringe.
