Rainbow rebozo

These rebozos have a gorgeous pattern of bright rainbow stripes.

These rebozos have been hand loomed on a traditional wooden loom by artisans in the Solola region in Guatemala. The weavers speak a local dialect and no Spanish, therefore my supplier, Monica, uses her cleaning lady as a translator to place her orders (which can sometimes result in rather interesting different colour results than the ones I asked for). The weavers make their living with this craft and Monica does not ask for discounts when buying their rebozos.

These rebozos are woven near an open fire and therefore often smell of wood smoke when they arrive. You can wash them before use if you prefer to remove the smell (I quite like it personally!).

I have found that the fabric can be prone to thread shifting. This is a normal for this kind of fabric. If this happens then you can gently move the threads back in position as shown in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OC6lAcPQAgM. Then washing the rebozo will tighten the fabric again.

This rebozo is made of cotton and silk like synthetic thread, and is 274 cm long (plus a 10 cm fringe at each end) by 48 cm wide.

Washing instructions: Please wash either by hand or on a handwash cycle in the washing machine to avoid tangling the fringe.

Returns: if, upon receipt of your rebozo, you aren’t satisfied with it, you can return it to me (in unused condition), within 14 days of receipt, for a refund (minus the cost of postage). The return postage costs are to be paid for by the buyer.
